Saul Muniz

MCALLEN-Saul Muñiz, 61, left to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at McAllen Medical Center in McAllen. He was born to Jose Fidencio Muñiz, Sr. and Ignacia Olabarrieta Muñiz on August 14, 1955 in Woodstock, Illinois. He is now reunited with his wife, Thelma Muñiz; mother, Ignacia Muñiz and brother, David Muñiz who have preceded him in death. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Yesenia Muñiz; long-time companion, Estela Espinoza; and step-daughter, Jessica Ann Espinoza and four grandchildren. He will also be greatly missed by his father, Jose Fidencio Muñiz, Sr.; siblings, Jose F. (Dahlia) Muñiz Jr, Esmeralda (Jesse) Dougherty, Irasema (Carlos) Losoya and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Family will receive friends Monday, May 1, 2017 from 3 pm to 9 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm at Palm Valley Funeral Home in Pharr. Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Palm Valley Funeral Home in Pharr. Interment will follow to La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen. Having the distinguished honor of serving as pallbearers are: Jose F. Muñiz III, David Muñiz, Eric Aguilar, Carlos Losoya Jr., Isaac Losoya, Diego Losoya and honorary pallbearers, Jose Fidencio Muñiz Jr., Carlos Losoya Sr. and Jesse Dougherty. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palm Valley Funeral Home in Pharr.
