Rev. Teodoro Manuel Gonzalez Jr.

Reverend Teodoro Manuel Gonzalez Jr. passed away peacefully on October 23, 2023. Born in Robstown, Tx, on December 18, 1940, his years on this earth were marked by a dedication to ministry, unwavering faith, and a deep-rooted passion for helping others.

At the early age of 19, Rev. Teodoro committed his life to serving God as a pastor. He fulfilled this role at Templo Bethel Asamblea De Dios, being an active and beloved figure among his church members. His ceaseless efforts in the church left a lasting legacy. Possessing a pioneering spirit, Reverend Gonzalez was instrumental in the establishment of the first christian radio station, reaching out to hearts beyond his church's physical bounds. His dedication to spreading the Word was also evident in his immense contribution to founding the Instituto Bíblico Bethel, promoting a deeper understanding of the Bible. He believed in taking God's love beyond the church walls. With this conviction, he helped put into place outreach programs that catered for hospitals, jails, and nursing homes, spreading kindness wherever he went. Remembered as much more than a dedicated pastor, Rev. Teodoro was a stellar individual who touched people in numerous roles. Father-in-law, brother, grandfather, he was a constant source of support and love for his family. As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate the life of Rev. Teodoro - a fearless pathfinder, an understanding pastor, and undeniably, a man of God. His influence remains, and his spirit continues to inspire those he left behind. Rest in peace, Reverend Teodoro Manuel Gonzalez Jr.

Survived by his three children, Teodoro Manuel (Gloria) Gonzalez III, Lory (David) Ramirez, Esther Gonzalez; four siblings, Diana Gonzalez, Richard Gonzalez, Andres Gonzalez, Ruben Gonzalez; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; many extended family and friends.

Rev. Teodoro is preceded in death by his parents, Teodoro Manuel Gonzalez Sr. and Rosenda Gonzalez.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, October 31st, 2023 from 5PM to 10PM with a prayer service at 6PM at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley. Services will continue Wednesday, November 1st, 2023 with a christian service at 9AM and continued by a burial at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens at 10AM.
