Alice Ann Edwards

Alice Ann Cummings Edwards, 79 of Smiths Station, Alabama died Friday in Columbus, Georgia. Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Lakeview Memory Gardens according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431 N., Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Edwards was born November 14, 1934 in Abbeville, Alabama. She is the daughter of the late Leslie and Pearla McCrane Cummings. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Myrlon Edwards, daughters, Schrita Edwards and Zina Beth Edwards, one sister and three brothers.

Survivors include her son, Geary E. Edwards (Cathy) of Phenix City, AL, granddaughters, Brandi Edwards Allday (Jason) of Columbus, GA, Lindsay Edwards of Phenix City, AL, great granddaughter Lindsay Allday of Athens, GA, great grandson, Brooks Edward Allday of Columbus, GA, sister, Patsy Myers of Valdosta, GA, special niece, Cindy Brannon (Grady) of Waverly Hall, GA, nieces, Kim Johnson (Charles), Holly Pond, AL, Jennifer Darr (Sam) of Valdosta, GA, Alexis Johnson (Joey)of Las Vegas, NV, Loretta Daniels (Danny) of Phenix City, AL, several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
