Charlie A. Edwards, 87 of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020 in Atlanta, Georgia. Funeral services with military honors will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, September 16, 2020 in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, AL. The family will receive from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm prior to the service.

Mr. Edwards was born November 5, 1932 in Tallassee, Alabama, son of the late Henry and Mavis Edwards. He served in the U.S. Army and was retired from Swift Textile Mill. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sara R. Edwards; daughter, Sara Kate Darsey; and his sister, Hattie Mae Boswell.

Survivors include his daughter, Gail Knisley and husband, Mike; son, Randy Edwards and wife, Tara; brother, John H. Edwards; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
