

SGT Christopher Michael Cagle, U.S. Army (Ret),, 35 went home to be with our Lord Wednesday, January 6, 2016 surrounded by his family. Graveside funeral services with military honors will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 11, 2016 at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery with Rev. Lynn McManious officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, AL.
Christopher Michael Cagle was born April 24, 1980 in Longview, Texas. He enlisted in the army in 2003 and served three deployments in Korea and Iraq.
He was a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rudy and Martha Jones of Tyler, TX.
Survivors include his mother, Gail Cagle of Phenix City, AL, son; Logan Christopher Cagle (8) and his mom, Pamela of Smiths Station, AL, uncle, Keith Jones of Tyler, TX, longtime childhood friends, Chad Homer and Scott Thompson of Tyler, TX, special acknowledgement to Melvin King and Felicia Anderson; nurses who took such good care of him through it all and a host of other friends, both military and civilian.
