A visitation for family and friends for Clyde will be held Monday, July 10, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. Following the visitation for family and friends will be a graveside service with military honors at 11:00 AM at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 3800 Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867.
Mr. Geter was born April 21, 1946 in Columbus, Georgia; son of the late Mosey and Doris Nichols Geter. He was retired from Builders FirstSource in Columbus, GA and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of Moores Chapel Baptist Church in Mauk, Georgia and was a faithful Christian who loved gardening, farming fruit trees and never met a stranger.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Geter and his sister, Wanda Geter Heath.
Survivors include his children, Ginger Geter (Warren) of Phenix City, AL, Jeff Geter (Amy) of Fortson, GA. , step-daughter, Angelina Watson (Roger) of Valley, AL, brother, Johnnie Geter and three grandchildren, Kaylee Geter, Taylor Geter and David Geter.
