A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Phenix City, in Lakewood Hall, located at 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama, 36867. The service is scheduled for December 11, 2025, starting at 11:00 am.
Danny was a loving son, father and grandfather who had an infectious laugh and sweet spirit who would help anyone who needed it. He loved playing video games, fixing things and working on vehicles. He also spent his career in the flooring business.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Melendez. Survivors include his father, Manuel Melendez (Susan), mother, Sandra Jenkins, children, Zoey Melendez (Chandler), Lacey Melendez, Kinsley Melendez, Avery Melendez, Phoebe Melendez grandchild, Addaleigh Grissett and the mother of his children, Ashley Hobson.
