Deborah Ann Brooks

Deborah Ann Brooks, 60 of Seale, Alabama passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 17, 2021 in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL with Patrick Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.

Mrs. Brooks was born January 27, 1961 in Chattanooga, Tennessee; daughter of the late Roy H. Brookshire and Jo-Ann Ashley Brookshire. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Columbus, GA.

Other than her father, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Brooks, daughter, Christina Ann Queen, grandson, John Jones and her sister, Dianah Kalweit.

Survivors include her mother, Jo-Ann Brookshire, children, David Kelley, Joey Queen, Joanna Queen, Elizabeth Queen, Matthew Queen and three grandchildren that she has raised since birth, Billy Houck, Matthew Queen, Jr. and Jacob Smallwood; sisters, Donna Queen, Deloris Warner, Denise Burch, Darlene Hagler and brothers, James Kelley and Travis Brookshire.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Little David, Desiray, Corey, Kayleah, Aliyah, Natalie, Abigail, Brooklyn, Colton, Trevor, Seth, Conner, Samuel and several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
