Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431 N., Phenix City, AL followed by a celebration of life funeral service at 11:00am. A private burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Jowers was born February 13, 1934 in Phenix City, Alabama; daughter of the late E.V. Kelley and Ella Mae Benson Kelley. She was retired from the Russell County Health Department after many years serving as Registrar and was a member of Epworth Methodist Church in Phenix City, AL.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, B.J. Ammons and Gaylon M. Jowers.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth Stubbs (Gail), Daughter, Kathy Stubbs Brown (Derek), son, Bobby Ammons, Jr. (Jennifer); step-children, Karen Bias (Rick), Kim Gunnels (Mike), Kandy Harlin and Gaylon Jowers, Jr. (Angie) She is also survived by her grandchildren, Alan Faison (Meredith), Brandon Faison (Sabrina), Kal Stubbs (Grace), C.J. Cook (Adam) along with numerous great grandchildren.
Mrs. Jowers will be remembered by her family as a loving mother and grandmother.
