

Eva Blanche Hinkle, 89 of Phenix City, AL passed away Friday, January 10, 2014 at Phenix City Healthcare. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 13, 2013 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby, 3770 Hwy 431 N., Phenix City, AL with Rev. Brad McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hinkle was born May 25, 1924 in Russell County, Alabama. She is the daughter of the late Barney James Veasey and Eva Mae Herring Veasey and was a homemaker. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Bradley and her son, H.W. "Billy" Carrico.
Survivors include her daughters, Eva Neal Sanders (Ed), Vicky Lynn Jones (Don) all of Phenix City, AL, sons, Gary Hudson of Columbus, GA, Terry Michael Carrico of Salem, AL, Norman Carrico (Gracie) of Phenix City, AL, eleven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family wishes to express a sincere "thank you" to the staff of Phenix City Health Care and to Columbus Hospice for the love and care provided for our mother while in their care.
