My story began on March 16, 1937 when I was born in the town of Stettin, Germany to my parents Erich and Erna Schönfeld. I grew up an only child during the turmoil of war and in 1956, married my first husband Hans-Joachim Vogt. Our union together gave me the gift of my wonderful daughters Ute and Doris.
In 1966, I remarried to the love of my life, Johann Horn, and we had a wonderful marriage until his passing in 2001.
My daughters extended our family by marrying their respective husbands Carlston Lowe (Doris) and Joachim Elberskrich (Ute). I was blessed even further by my grandchildren Frederic, Jens-Gunter and Vincent, and blessed again when my grandson Frederic married his wife Tina and they gave me the joy of being a great grandmother to Jayden and Louis.
My life was filled with many wonderful moments and memories, I enjoyed many hobbies like travel, gardening and crafts. My life was full of joy, happiness and tragedy, good times and not so good times, but it was a good life. Now my journey has ended and I hope that I pass on to higher realms. That my soul is greeted by the ones that passed before me and that one day we will have the blessing of being reunited with my loved ones once again. I leave this beautiful earth knowing that I lived my life well, that I stayed true to myself and that I have been honest and forthright.
I bid you farewell and hope to stay in your hearts and memories always- Hannelore Horn
