Helen M. Williams

A visitation for family and friends for Helen will be held Friday, February 10, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 7807 Lee Rd. 246, Smiths Station, Alabama 36877. A celebration of life funeral service will occur Friday, February 10, 2023 at 2:00 PM following the visitation with Pastor Mack Lowery officiating. An interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens, Phenix City, AL.

Mrs. Williams was born April 26, 1925 in Salem, Alabama; daughter of the late John P. Herring, Sr. and Bessie Chadwick Herring. She was a homemaker and a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church and the Sonshiners Sunday School Class. She had a great passion for sewing and making crafts.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roland C. Williams, brothers, John Peyton Herring, Jr., Thomas Herring, Virgil Herring, Herbert Herring, Dallas Herring; sisters, Dorothy Whitman, Barbara Carlisle and Opal Ennis.

Survivors include her sons, Michael C. Williams and wife, Debra Lewis Williams of Seale, AL, Charles E. "Eddie" Williams and wife, Peggy of Phenix City, AL, daughter, Lanette Williams Hall of Flintstone, GA, sister, Gerri Lowery and husband, Mack of Troy, AL, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
