Hugh Arnold Teal

Hugh Arnold Teal, Sr., 91 of Seale, Alabama died Friday October 28, 2011. Graveside funeral services with U.S. Army military honors will be 2:00 PM (EST) Tuesday November 1st in the Seale United Methodist Church Cemetery in Seale, AL., with the Reverend Marvin Vickers officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 N, Phenix City, AL. 36867. The family will receive friends Monday October 31st from 5pm until 7pm (EST) at the funeral home. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bishop Anthony, Tommy Boswell, Worley Chitwood, Martin Dalton ,George McLendon and Bill Starke.

Mr. Teal was born October 2, 1920 in Seale, Alabama, son of the late Homer Lee Teal and Gertrude Dudley Teal. He served his country honorably during World War II while serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp. Mr. Teal was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Phenix City and the Russell County Courthouse Association. He was the former assistant manager of the Uchee Reservation in Seale.

Survivors include his wife of more than 60 years, Loura Doughtie Teal of Seale, son, Hugh Arnold Teal, Jr. of Seale, brothers and sister-in-law, Homer and Martha Teal of Seale, Dudley Teal of Phenix City, nieces, Faye Meadows of Seale, Sharon Scott of Columbus, GA., nephew, Steve Teal of Columbus, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
