James Robert Cannon, III

James Robert Cannon, III, age 60, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Friday, June 28, 2019 at his home. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 in Lakewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, AL. Burial with Navy Military Honors will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mr. Cannon was born July 1, 1958 in Columbus, Georgia; son of the late James Robert Cannon, Jr. and Margaret Jeannette Darnell Cannon. He served in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army and was employed with Cessna for 21 years. He was Catholic by faith.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Jessica Anne Hunter Cannon and sisters, Donna Vickie Debardelaben Stetson and Jeannie Cannon.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Marie King Cannon; sisters, Marguerite Jeannette Ehle Scott, Beth Anne Ehle Barefield, Mary Catherine Ehle Kite; brothers, Michael James Cannon, Edward Carl Cannon and his beloved fur babies," Tippi Toe" and "Priccy" and numerous nieces and nephews.
