Jerry Mitchell Parker, age 68, resident of Albertville, Alabama and former resident of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016 in Albertville, Alabama. Memorial services are scheduled on Friday, March 25, 2016, 2 p.m. at Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, Alabama with Reverend Udell Addison officiating.
Mr. Parker, son of the Geneva Bernice Hancock Parker and the late John Rayford Parker, was born March 31, 1947 in Columbus. He graduated in 1965 from Central High School, Phenix City, Alabama and joined the military where he served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Parker was formerly Superintendent of Parker Building Construction and enjoyed working with electronics and heavy equipment, and had a strong passion towards motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Parker of Albertville, Alabama; mother, Geneva Hancock Weeks of Columbus; one brother, Danny "Booktrout" Parker of Columbus; daughter; granddaughter; many other relatives and friends.
