Jimmy was born July 11, 1935, in Columbus, Ga and graduated from Jordan Vocational High School. He was drafted by the Army in 1958 and was a Veteran of the Korean War,* serving in the 51st Signal Battalion.
He retired from a 43 year career with Bellsouth.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey W. and Mamie R. Malloy, and his brother William A. Malloy.
Survivors include, sons, Mark Malloy and Scott Malloy (Lisa); stepson, Phil Gray (Carmen); grandchildren, Drew Malloy, Colby Miller, Blaine Miller (Jeni), Daulton Miller, Taylor Gray (Haley), and Madison Gray; great grandchildren, Langston Miller and Rowen Miller; brother, Dennis Malloy (Tommie); dedicated caregivers, Berdnetter Minniefield, Sylvania Moffet, Sandy Sparks, Kimberly Gary, and Carly Williams.
Pallbearers include: Alvin Caldwell, Fred Morris, George Howard, John Howard, Davey Haden, Ashley Haden, and Cody Haden
A graveside service will be held, 11:00 AM (EST), Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Crawford Cemetery in Phenix City, AL. with Reverend David Wilson officiating. Immediately following the service a luncheon will provided by the family at the Crawford Masonic Lodge, 4499 US Highway 80, Phenix City, AL.
