Neil Reddish was born on May 16th, 1930 in Tallassee, AL to Jerry and Geneva Reddish. He was a member of Epworth Methodist Church; and a member of the Ruth and Matthew Sunday School Class. Neil proudly served as a Sergeant in United States Army during the Korean War; and continued his services in the National Reserves. Once discharged from the Army, Neil continued his working at FlavoRich Dairies for 38 years until his retirement in 1995. After retirement, Neil never slowed down. He spent an endless amount of time at the farmer’s market working with his wife. He enjoyed working outside and was always starting new projects. He had a passion for making gourds for his purple martins and always looked forward to their arrival each spring. He was a patriotic man and understood the importance of the American flag and what it meant to our country. He was proud to share that love with those who passed by their church by hanging the flag in memory of his late wife; Adelle.
He loved to spend time watching his grandson, Joey, play baseball. He also never passed up an opportunity to spend time with his daughter, Geri and granddaughter, Mallory. He was the pillar of the family; always hard working, patient, and kind. He was a man of few words, but made such a powerful impact on all that knew him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be gratefully missed.
Neil is survived by his daughter, Geri Druash; granddaughter, Mallory Druash- Ely (Jacob); grandson, Joey Druash; God-granddaughter, Kristy Forbes; great God-grandson, Harrison Forbes; brother, Jerry Reddish (Brenda); sister, Bonnie Calhoun (Jim); sister-in-laws, Elea Peppers, Nell Flournoy, and Marie Woodfin; brother-in-law, Edward Brown, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
