Mrs. Powell was born June 26, 1946 in Eustis, Florida; daughter of the late Charles W. Taylor and Wetona Veal Gaultney. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Powell and her brothers, Frankie Taylor and Larry Gaultney.
Survivors include her daughter, Michele West and husband, Micah, son, Mark Edward Powell, grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth West, Joshua Israel West and wife, Stacey and one great granddaughter, Jamie Anna-Lynn West.
A private graveside service will be held at Lakeview Memory Gardens.
