Kenneth Monroe Newberry, age 74, of Smiths Station, Alabama passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at his home. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 6, 2022 in Lakeview Memory Gardens, Phenix City, Alabama.
Mr. Newberry was born December 21,1947 in Columbus, Georgia; son of the late Cecil and Edna Langford Newberry. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church and served in the Army National Guard. He was retired from Dolly Madison and later managed Spectrum Stores, sold real estate and retired from the Lee County School System as a bus driver.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-son, Eddie Abercrombie.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Newberry, daughter, Wendy Frander (Michael), son, Brandon Newberry, step-daughter, Teresa Komendantov (Paul); grandchildren, Nastassia Jones (Travis)
Aidan Komendantove, Alex Komendantov, Jordan Frander, Addie Frander and Payton Frander.
