

Kenny Lee Sulzmann, a native of Phenix City, long time resident of Tuscaloosa and Mobile, Alabama passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at the age of 68. He was a graduate of Central High School of Phenix City, Alabama. He received an AA degree from CVCC. Kenny was a coal-miner at Jim Walter Resources #3 Mine and a plumber.
He is survived by his wife, Dona Kirkland Sulzmann after 48 years of Marriage. Daughter Jaime Christian, married to Danny Christian with daughters, Ashlynn Christian and Laura Segler of Mobile, Danielle Watson of Columbus and Keionna Stevens of Mobile. Survived by brother-in-law, Dell and Carolyn Kirkland of Seale. Survived by mother-in-law, Faye Kirkland and siblings, Vickie Jones, Tommie Eubanks, Beth Jordan, Ken, Ron and Dennis Turner all of Phenix City and Charene Wigton of California, plus many nieces, nephews, and cousin and best friend, Randy Young.
Kenny was preceded in death by grandparents, Thomas and Ruth Byard, mother, Margaret Turner, step-father, Charles Turner and father-in-law, Otis Kirkland.
Kenny enjoyed the outdoors and water sports. He also loved spending time with his family.
Visitation will be at Striffler-Hamby Funeral Home in Phenix City on Highway 431, Monday 6-8pm. Graveside service will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens, Tuesday at 3pm.
