Visitation for family and friends for Margaret will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will occur Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM. A private burial will occur at Lakeview Memory Gardens, Phenix City, Alabama.
Mrs. Woodard was born February 8, 1934 in Coffee County, Alabama; daughter of the late Levie L. and Annie Lou Galimore Godwin. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Phenix City and was Owner and Operator of Margaret's Beauty Shop in Columbus for 53 years. She will be remembered as a loving mother and loving and devoted sister.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom W. Woodard.
Survivors include her sister, Ann Lee, son, Gerald Simmons and wife Leslie, grandchildren, Jonathan Simmons and wife, Samantha, Jeremy Simmons and two great grandchildren, Harper Simmons and Beau Simmons.
