Matthew Adam Moist

Matthew Adam Moist, 17 of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Sunday, July 8, 2012 at his home. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 13, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431 N., Phenix City, AL with Tommy Carstens officiating. Burial will follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Adam was born April 27, 1995, son of Sean Moist and the late Sherry Stillwell, but was raised by his parents Sean and Elizabeth Moist. He was a senior at Central High School and attended Faith Outreach Church in Phenix City, AL. Other than his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rebecca Hartsfield.

Survivors include his parents, Sean and Elizabeth Moist, sister, Amber Lollar, brothers, Sean Moist, Jr. and Anthony Moist, sister, Danielle Spears, all of Phenix City, AL, paternal grandparents, Debra Moist of Denver, CO, George Adam Moist of Copperas Cove, TX, grandfathers, Alton Stillwell of Seale, AL, William Hartsfield of Phenix City, great grandmother, Martha Skinner of Phenix City, dear family friends, Holly Turnage, MiMi Sumbry, Heather Fair, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
