Melanie Gayle Henderson

A Visitation for Family and Friends of Melanie will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow with interment after at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 3800 Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867.

Melanie was born on March 7, 1973 in Columbus, Georgia. She was the daughter of Thomas W. and Gayle Batts Henderson. She was previously employed with the Phenix City Board of Realtors and was Protestant by faith.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary Nevels Henderson; grandfather, C.J. Henderson; granddaddy, Bryant L. Batts; granny, Juanita Batts; aunt, Lynda Cottom (Thomas Cottom); aunt, Grace Hill; uncle, Charles Batts; and aunt, Ruth Mason.

Survivors include her parents, Thomas W. and Sarah Batts Henderson; her brother, Michael Henderson (Tracey); two nephews, Weston Henderson, Wade Henderson (fiance, Anna); niece, Wellsley Henderson (fiance, Jake); aunts, Mary Kelley and Martha House; uncles, Tommy Batts (Carolyn), John Henderson (Minnie), Robert Henderson along with many, many cousins and friends.
