Melissa Jane Coberly, age 55 of Phenix City, Alabama passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023. Melissa was born in Alexandria City, Virginia; daughter of the late Gerald Goff Coberly, Sr. and Mary Helen Costello Coberly. She was employed with Total Systems in Columbus for 18 years.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Coberly, Jr.
Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Linda Coberly Davis and Mark Davis of Phenix City, AL, sister-in-law, Vanessa Coberly of Springfield, VA, life-long friend, Billy Easley and close friend, Lynette Cutts.
Melissa loved peacocks and loved her kitty cats; she was a beautiful person inside and out with a very infectious smile an a kind heart. She also was an avid Alabama "Roll Tide" fan.
A visitation for family and friends for Melissa will be held Friday, June 30, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Phenix City, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867.
