

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Phenix City, in Lakewood Hall, located at 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama, 36867, on January 16, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at the same venue and room, starting at 1:00 pm.
Interment will take place at Lakeview Memory Gardens, located at 3800 Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama, 36867.
Dianne was born in Columbus, Georgia to the late Fred Johnston and Mattie Sorrels Wisnack. She was retired from Columbus State University as and Administration Secretary. She was a 1956 graduate of Central High School where she was a cheerleader.
She served as den mother for the cub scouts and boys scouts and was a girl scout leader. She was a longtime member of Smiths Station Baptist Church.
Dianne loved her family and spending time with them, especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Luther MaThel Fredrick, brothers, Billy Johnston and Stanley Johnston.
Survivors include her son, Jeff Fredrick (Andie), daughter, Jennifer Thaxton (Ron), sister, Irene Mathis, sister-in-law, Patty Abbott; grandchildren, Taylor Fredrick, Sydney Sinclair (Thomas), Austin Thaxton (Maggie), Lane Thaxton (Josh), Cameron Fredrick (Zach), her beloved great grandchildren, Scarlet Parker and Violet Sinclair along with her nieces and nephews, Adicia Coulter, Rendi Hall, Gary Abbott, Tracey Carlan and Laura Honeycutt.
