Richard Larry Farmer, 66 died Sunday May 11, 2014 at his home. Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Pastor Tim Tatum officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Summerville Room at the funeral home.
Mr. Farmer was born October 11, 1947 in Blythe, Georgia. He is the son of the late Oscar Brandon and Carey Reville Farmer. He served his country in the U.S. Army, was retired from the Railroad and was owner of Depot Billiards in Columbus, Georgia for many years.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Brenda Farmer of Salem, AL, daughter, Carey Nicole Storey and her husband, Lloyd A. Storey, III of Columbus, GA, son, Richard Isaac Farmer of Salem, AL granddaughters, Libby and Frances, two brothers, Brandon Farmer of Evans, GA, Robert Farmer of Forsyth, GA, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
