Fort Mitchell, AL- Ronald Lee Byrd, 51 passed away at home with his family by his side July 22, 2014 in Fort Mitchell, AL. Ronald was born May 18, 1963 in Elkin, NC to Roy and Brenda Byrd. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and worked in Food Service Management. Ronald loved to fish, hunt and work on computers, and had a passion for his family.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 23, 2014 5:00-7:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, AL. A Celebration of Life Funeral service will be July 24, 2014 1:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church, 2915 14th Ave. Columbus, GA followed by a committal service at Lakeview Cemetery in Phenix City, AL. Rev. Jeremy Rands will be officiating.

Along with his parents, Ronald is survived by his son; Quentin (Sarah) Byrd of Phenix City, AL, his daughter Courtney Byrd Howell of San Antonio, TX; one sister Cheryl (Wayne) Moorefield of Salisbury, NC, two brothers; Gary (Stephanie) Byrd of Phenix City, AL and Kevin (Angie) Byrd of Columbus, GA, and many other friends and relatives.
