Roy Lee Ferguson

Roy Lee Ferguson, 67 of Phenix City, Alabama died Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 18, 2014 in Lakewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Danny Courtney officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until 2:00pm Thursday at the funeral home. Serving as pall bearers are Michael Caldwell, Marc Caldwell, Chris Shavers, Jesse Wright, Johnny Barfield and Laino Bustos. Honorary pall bearers will be Frank Foley, Hugh Sorrell, Todd Daigle, Eugene Tally and Winfred Griggs.

Mr. Ferguson was born January 14, 1947 in Columbus, Georgia; son of the late Gordon Lee and Lelia Shores Ferguson. He was employed with Foley Material Company with more than 30 years of service and attended First Baptist Church of Phenix City, AL.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Betty Hoffman Ferguson of Phenix City, AL, children, Sherri Ferguson Blasingame of New Site, AL, Heather Hoffman Gayles (Jeff) of Phenix City, AL, Steven Roy Ferguson (Beth) of Ashland, AL, sisters, Peggy Ferguson Shavers of Columbus, GA, JoAnn Ferguson O'Neal of Phenix City, AL, grandchildren, Jordan Gilliland, Michael Gayles, Kynsley Rae Blasingame, John Lacy Ferguson, Luke Ferguson, Blake Gayles, special friends, Johnny and Pat Barfield and friends at the Ice House, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
