Thomas E. Thornton

A visitation for family and friends for Thomas will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. Following the visitation for family and friends will be a graveside funeral service at 2:30 PM with Rev. Grant Parker officiating.

Thomas was born March 9, 1938 in Brundidge, Alabama; son of the late Willie L. and Quillie M. Graham Thornton. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Phenix City, AL.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Annie Will Nicholson (Clarence), brothers, Lavon Thornton, Wyman Thornton, Pat Thornton and nephew, Jeff Nicholson.

Survivors include two nieces, Becky Meredith, Phyllis Nicholson, five great nieces and nephews, Kim Hollis (Jason), Clint Goss (Toby), Vangie King (Joey), Ashley Melton (Steven) and Jamie Thornton.
