William H. Ballew

A Visitation for Family and Friends of William will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a Celebration of Life following at Word of Faith Church, 4 All American Dr., Phenix City, Alabama 36869. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 3800 Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867.

Mr. Ballew was born on September 11, 1943 in Evans City, Pennsylvania; son of the late Charles J. and Ethel Derrich Ballew. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and retired from Walmart as a truck technician. He was a member of the Word of Faith Church in Phenix City, AL.

Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Jeanette Hollingshead.

Survivors include his wife, Gaye Hickman Ballew; children, Steve Caipen (Tammy), Cindy Grimes (Phil), Toby Jackson (Stacy) and Jerry Harris (Nancy); sisters, Shirley Christy and Judy Fullwood; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
