William "Hershal" Snellgrove

A visitation for family and friends for William "Hershal" will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. Following the visitation for family and friends will be a graveside funeral service at 2:00 PM at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 3800 Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867.

Mr. Snellgrove was born September 29, 1950; son of the late William Stancil Snellgrove and Mary Esther Bradley Snellgrove. He was retired from Freeway Ford after many years of service.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wendy Gail McBride Snellgrove, grandsons, Christopher Snellgrove, Bradey Harvey, sisters, Nellie Holmes, Doris Ferguson, Lucille Burton and brothers, Roger Dale Snellgrove and Luther Snellgrove.

Survivors include his children, William E. Snellgrove, Katherine Michelle Harris (Ricky), Tina Leanne Thurmond (Horace), Brian Collis Snellgrove (Lauren), Sr., sister, Marjorie Marjie Murphy, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Mr. Snellgrove enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, working in his yard and was an avid Elvis fan. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
