Willie Mae Peters

A visitation for family and friends for Willie will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Phenix City, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. A celebration of life funeral service will occur Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 12:00 PM, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. A private burial will occur at Lakeview Memory Gardens, Phenix City, AL.

Mrs. Peters was born March 17, 1939 in Opelika, Alabama; daughter of Genelle Williams. She was retired from Ampex and was a member of Bush Road Emmanuel Holiness Church in Phenix City, AL.

Other than her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lamar Peters, daughter, Donna Kay Golden, daughter, Rhonda Ann Stringfellow, brother, Thomas Fields and granddaughter, Ashley Cheyenne Arrowsmith, brothers-in-law, Bill McNeil and Randy Rosser.

Survivors include her daughter, Debra Jean Simmons (John), son, Billy Jay Hall, son-in-law, Donald Arthur Golden, sisters, Sandy McNeil, Shirley Rosser; grandchildren, Christopher James Newman, Julia Leigh Davis, Brandon Cecil Davis, Charles Derek Golden, Jennifer Dawn Golden, Robert Arthur Golden, Billy Jay Hall, Jr., Melinda Ann Nixon, Heath Allen Weldon, Bobby Dale Shores and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
