Aidan Miles Warrington

Aidan is survived by his wife Karie, daughters Anna and Lucy, stepdaughters Shelby and Leah and stepson Dylan. He was also an adored grandfather of five grandchildren, Mia, Harry, Alfie, Charlie and Lily.

Born on May 22, 1953 at Manygates Maternity Hospital in Wakefield, England, Aidan lived a full and joyous life. He spent his formative years in Wakefield where he was educated at Lawfield Lane Primary School and Thornes House Secondary School, before leaving for the workplace at the age of 16.

Aidan began his working career as an apprentice engineering draftsman, rapidly climbing his way up through the industry before establishing his own business at the age of 26. He permanently left the UK in 1990, living and working in Dubai and Europe before moving to Arizona in 2000. Here, he began his career in the waste industry, working with Heil Environmental before starting Alliance Refuse Trucks with business partner Keith Alexander in 2005. The company has grown to be the largest private rebuilder of garbage trucks in North America.

Passionate about many sports, Aidan loved rugby which he also played to a high standard as a young man. Golf, cricket and cycling were also amongst his favorite past-times as was his insatiable love of books. His successful working life took him all over the world enabling him to indulge in his love of travel.

A true one off, Aidan could fairly be described as extraordinary. He had an uncompromising zest for life and was infectious to be around. Loving, caring, fun and intelligent in equal measures, he brought joy and happiness to those who knew and loved him. Aidan had a huge heart and his love knew no bounds. He supported many causes and had a genuine desire to help others less fortunate than himself. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him, none more so than his family, friends and colleagues.

Funeral to be held Saturday September 19, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 2121 South Rural Road, Tempe, Arizona, 85282.
