

Betty attended public schools in Mesa and was a member of the 2nd graduating class at Westwood High School in 1966. After graduating Betty attended Mesa Community college and worked as a Seamstress at Penmore Corporation.
In 1968, Betty married William Eddings Jr. God allowed them to live long enough to enjoy nearly 53 years of wedded bliss. “Until death did, they part”.
In addition to raising and nurturing two sons, Phillip (deceased) and Roth, she was active throughout her life devoted to helping others; all who new her can attest that Betty loved people especially children.
Betty was a faithful member of First Pentecostal Church for more than 50 years and served as a Sunday school teacher, Director of Childrens Church, and assisted in several other capacities and served as needed throughout her life. Betty attended church regularly even after being wheelchair bound for the past 5 years. Her attendance was only interrupted by the pandemic.
Betty was an active person. Sewing dolls, painting, and quilting were among her favorites. She shared her love of cooking by constantly baking sweets, quiches, and other delightful dishes for family, friends, and the community.
For many years Betty worked with special needs students in Casa Grande, Tuba City and Sierra Vista public schools. Betty spent many years involved in Girls Scouts of America. She was a local troop and District County leader throughout Pinal County. Being involved suited her servant heart. One of her mottos was “Do what’s right and do what’s good. Be kind and help others.
Betty’s life was an example of one who treasured her family, her friends, and her God. She made friends easily and will be missed.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Beatris Stephens, son Phillip, sister Carrie, brothers Charlie, William, Howard and Warren.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill, son Roth, Daughter in law Nicole Eddings of Atlanta; grandson Nicolas of Atlanta, granddaughter Tristyn of London, United Kingdom, sisters Jeanette Brewer, Atlanta; Dee Ann Golden, Chandler; and Jean Hunter, San Diego; and a of host cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Betty will be missed. Gone but never forgotten. We will carry her memory in our hearts.
