Corrina Clephane Woodson

The world was graced with a beautiful soul, Corrina Clephane Woodson, born on August 12, 1944 in Phoenix, Arizona to Lillian Williams and James Luther Woodson, she is preceded in death by her sister, Joan E-Temple Williams (Ernest), and her nephew, John Joseph Warren Jr.

Corrina attended Grace Court and Phoenix Union High School. Corrina accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and she never wavered in her commitment to him, she was affiliated with Good Shepherd Baptish Church for 19 years, Pastor Moses Jenkins.Corrina’s favorite dish was neck bones, butter beans, cornbread and popcorn. Corrina loved working with DDD adults with disabilities and was very protective over their care and well-being. She worked for State DDD for 23 years when she retired and continued her work as a Supervisor for Windsor Intermediate Care Facility, and after 15 years of service she retired from there is 1999. After she retired she went to work for her sister Joan Williams at ELODC DBA Little Shelters, caring for abandoned, abused and neglected children for 3 years. Corrina was a Godmother to Australia Hooks; Aunt to Emmanuel Lee Sr., Clearthur Lee Jr., Cheryl Robinson and Danette Cox; Great Aunt to Emmanuel Lee Jr., Korin Trimble, Michael Lee, John Jospeh Warren Williams III, Anthony Robinson and Justice Cox; Great Great Aunt to Taylor Lee, Laila Lee, Kandence Lee and Emmanuel Lee III. Corrina was also the God-Aunt to a host of nieces and nephews.She leaves behind in loving memory her three closest and dearest friends. They were like sisters to her Annie Daniels whom she has known since 6th grade, Shirley Hooks whom she has known since her sophomore year in high school, and her friend and co-worker Ernestine Williams friends for over 30 years. Let’s not forget her friend Ray and his little dog Mighty who she enjoyed seeing when Ray brought him by. Corrina also leaves behind numerous friends and co-workers who loved her dearly, one thing they can always say, she was always there when you needed her.
