Demetria Shree Slan

Demetria Shree Slan (Known to many as "Re" or "ReRe") was born March 19, 1975 in Phoenix, Arizona to the proud parents of Linda Fay Johnson-Slan and Lionel Slan. Demetria attended Percy L. Julian Jr. High and South Mountain High School. She excelled to become a Certified Nurse Assistant. She was employed for 14 years with Maricopa Integrated Health System.

Demetria accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior under the leadership of Pastor Jonathan Logan at Antioch Church of God In Christ. Demetria was a great mother to her son Ricky and daughter Rashanique. She was also a great sister, niece, cousin and friend. She had a spunky, calm and cool personality. ReRe was a strong warrior throughout her terminal illness, as she fought until the Good Lord called for her to join his Kingdom. She is free at last with peace and surrounded by Angles. Demetria took her last earthly breath on Tuesday April 23, 2013 at 11:20 pm.

Demetria leaves to cherish her memories: her two loving Children, Richard Wade Slan and Rashanique Raquel Slan. Demetria is also survived by her parents Linda Fay Johnson and Lionel Slan; as well as six Aunts: Eudora Jones, Brenda Slan, Mary Alice Slan, Renda Gaines, Gwen Slan, Madeline Johnson and seven Uncles: Richmond Slan, David Slan, Ronnie Slan, Ronnie Slan, Johnelle Slan, Martin Jones, Gabriel Freeman and Gaylord Freeman. Three sisters, Chineque Johnson, Miranda Slan and Valerie Johnson. Demetria was special to all and held a special relationship with best friends, Rachel Herron, Sofia Huff, LaVonte Owens and an entire host of relatives and friends.
