Diana Satchell was born March 7, 1961 in Phoenix, AZ to Leola Lambert and Willie Satchell. Raised with six siblings, Diana is the fifth and only female child born to Leola. Diana graduated from Phoenix Union High School in June, 1979 and went onto Phoenix College where she majored in accounting. She later graduated from Lamson Business College with a degree in accounting. This led to her lifelong career with the State of Arizona where she worked in several departments including the Division of Child Support Enforcement and the Department of Commerce.
She met and married Isaac Johnson in June, 1980 and from this union was born Len Toya Chevon Johnson and Nichelle Johnson, and although the union ended, the children enjoyed a close and loving relationship with their father while being raised by their mother.
As a single parent, Diana worked full-time, which left little time for a social life, yet she managed to maintain old and new friendships, spend time with family members and visit her local gym. As a child Diana began attending the House of Prayer for All People where she received the foundation which guided her life in all decisions great and small.
Friends, neighbors and co-workers knew Diana to be pleasant, upbeat, giving to those in need and always ready to lend a hand when asked. Diana's smile, positive attitude and her fun loving nature will be missed by all.
Diana leaves to cherish her memory her mother Leola Lambert Satchell, daughters Len Toya Johnson and Nichelle Johnson Cody (Matthew), brothers William E. Coleman of Washington, DC, Charles E. Davis, Sr. (Jennifer) of Lakeville, MN, Warren A. Satchell, David L. Satchell (Fender), Harold A. Satchell (Raysha) and Michael D. Satchell (Cheryl), all of Phoenix, four grandchildren D'Naya Tellez-Atron, Diana Cody, Emmanuel Cody, and Malachi Cody, three aunts, one uncle and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
DON’T CRY FOR ME
Don’t Cry for me because, My job on Earth is done. I have completed the task the Lord laid for me – I have gone home – No more pain or suffering, but to enjoy the Kingdom of Heaven.
Don’t cry for me, remember my kind heart, sweet laughter and warm smile. Remember, this is not good-bye, but a new beginning. Rejoice, for we will meet again one day.
~ Len Toya C. Johnson
