Former Colorado resident Dontyce Johnson, 36, became an angel on August 19, 2012, at his home in Phoenix, Arizona. Dontyce was born on August 19, 1976 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Sheavonne Johnson. He grew up as an “Army Brat” where he met and experienced different people and cultures from Italy, Germany and all over the US. This experience allowed him to have a story for every situation. He was a hardworking man who would do whatever it took so his family always had the very best and instilled these values into his children. Being the hard worker that he was, he took pride in everything he did. His most recent employment at Shutterfly would bring him so much joy. He loved that he was creating something that someone would cherish and that he was trusted with their memories. Dontyce was very talented and an inventor by nature. He would see something and say “I can make that”. Even as a small child he would take things apart just to see how it worked and put it back together. Something he continued to do as an adult. Dontyce and his wife Antonette, married on March 13, 2004. They shared almost 16 years of happiness together. They met when Dontyce was 20 and he immediately assumed the parental role for her two children, who they also came to love as their dad.
