Ernest Leyba Garcia

On Feb 4th 2022, our dearly beloved Husband, Father and GrandFather (Tata) went to his rest, with his loving Wife by his side! Ernest was born in Silver-city N.Mex on March 10, 1934, he was 87 years young, 78 in his words!!

Ernie and Tata as everyone called him was a very devoted loving Dad, Husband, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Our Dad loved his Music with all his heart, playing with Los Compas Band and other famous singers for many years and singing was his passion, I was told by my Uncle Manny that he came up with the name for their band and that brought us happiness. Ernie had a very Angelic voice, a legend in his own,, the man could Sing!!! He loved entertaining with his karaoke for everyone and we loved hearing him. Ernie loved his family so much with all his heart and he will be truly missed. He especially doted over his grandchildren, Tata was the best Grandfather ever, he was a very good friend and he would give his last dollar and his shirt to anyone that was in need!! Ernie had many dreams in life, but music and his family and clowning at times were his priority and he did everything humanly possible to make everyone around him happy! He loved decorating for Christmas, but His favorite holiday was Valentine’s Day,,, where he would go out and buy cards, candy and flowers for all his girls,, he loved doing that and he missed this year by a few short days, so with that we send you Dad our hearts to yours and we wish you a great big Happy Valentines. If only, but he didn’t, Not once did he ever complain about his own self, he didn’t like Dr visits, he didn’t want to be told what to do with hisself. He did it his way like his music,, You will be missed so much Dad by so many that loved you, we will do our best to honor you in every way we can.

Ernest is survived by his loving wife Gloria of 61 yrs, his two beautiful daughters Yvonne Kirgan (Bob) , and Marlene Garcia, his two handsome Sons Ernie Jr. and Steve Garcia, he had 7 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, his 3 surviving Brothers Manny, Henry and Eddie Garcia, and 2 Sisters Cici Puentes and Sally Garcia, with a total of 9 siblings he will be joining his other family in Heaven. Happy 1st Birthday in Heaven Dad. We love you, may you go in peace…….

There will be a visitation on Friday March 11, 2022 @10AM, followed by a Graveside Military Service ! At East Rest Haven on 4310 E. Southern Ave, Phx, Az 85042
