Evie Maxine Robertson

Evie Maxine Robertson, age 85, passed away peacefully in her sleep at a Hospice Respite Facility in Scottsdale, Arizona on Thursday, April 24, 2025. She was born on January 20, 1940 in Memphis, Tennessee.

Evie was preceded in death by both of her parents Elmo Eulyse and Della Mae Blair, her daughters, Connie Jacques, and Cathy Jacques, her husband, Derril Robertson, brother, Eulyse Blair, sister, Delores Adams, and niece Cindy Boosey.

Evie is survived by her brother-in-law, Melvin Jay Adams, Sr; nephew: Melvin Jay, Jr, (his wife, Jamie); niece, Beverly Schulke (her husband, Eric); Her sister-in-law, Jimmie Lou Blair, nephew, Tony Blair; nephew, Paul Blair (Nell).

Evie grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, married early at the age of 17 to George Jacques. She finished high school in Memphis and went on to nursing school to achieve her “License Practical Nurses degree.” She worked in hospitals, nursing homes, home care, and clinics. She worked until the age of 78 and loved every minute of it. She loved helping and caring for others and in her community. She loved her family and spent as much time with them as she could.

Evie will be missed by all that knew her and will forever be in our hearts.

A “celebration of life” will be held at a later date for the family and a few close friends.
