Gloria Jean Cudjo

A visitation for Gloria will be held Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Resthaven / Carr-Tenney Mortuary & Memorial Gardens, 4310 East Southern Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85042. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Resthaven/Carr-Tenney Mortuary & Memorial Gardens, 4310 E Southern Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85042.

Gloria Jean Cudjo was born to the union of Marteal Boston and Frank Sneed on May 9th 1936, in Marshall, Texas she was the 4th child out of 9 children.

Gloria accepted Christ at 15 years old and was baptized at Willow Grove Baptist Church under Rev. W. Hardison.

Gloria attended Dunbar Elementary school and then she went to Booker T. Washington and graduated 8th grade, and then she attended Carver High school and then she attended Tempe high school during her senior year. She was the first African American female to graduate from Tempe high school and she then attended Arizona State University.

Gloria Jean Cudjo worked 30 years at Arizona State University.

Gloria departed life on 04/14/2025 in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 88. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.

Gloria leaves to cherish her memory, her son Jimmie Lee Cudjo Jr. , Sister Lonzetta Joyce King of Phoenix, Arizona. Nieces: Kinzetta Cobbs of Lynchburg, Virgina, Marthola King of Glendale, Arizona, Nephews: Myron King of Tempe, Arizona, Alvin Nearl King of Phoenix, Arizona, Great Nieces: Marzinetta Lynn Poole of Phoenix, Arizona, Nayla Sieanna King of Phoenix, Arizona, Great Nephews: Glennwood Cobbs of Lynchburg, Virgina, Curtis Lynell Poole of Phoenix, Arizona, Myron Elliot King of Tempe, Arizona, Tristian Emery King of Tempe, Arizona. Great Great Nephew: Brycen Glenwood Cobbs of Lynchburg, Virgina, Benjamin Poole of Phoenix, Arizona, Great Great Niece: Naomi Ryne Cobbs of Lynchburg, Virgina Niece in Laws Kathy King of Tempe, Arizona, Renika Necole King of Phoenix, Arizona.

Gloria was Proceeded in death by her son Arivs Dee Cudjo, Mother: Marteal Sneed and Father: Frank Sneed and 7 siblings.
