

91, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2012. Hattie was born in Tampico, IL on January 21, 1921 to Ralph and Lizze McKenzie. She married Ray Rebert on July 2, 1944. Ray and Hattie moved to Arizona in 1952 and resided in Tempe where they raised their family. Hattie was a devout Christian and was a member of the First Christian Church of Tempe most of her life. She was also an avid fisherwoman, so much so that she talked Ray into buying fishing resort in Lakeside, AZ in 1976. Together they owned and operated Rebert's Fishing Resort for 17 years. When Ray passed away in 1993, Hattie moved to Mesa, AZ to be near her family. She enjoyed her home there for 15 years. She then moved to Pennington Gardens in Chandler, AZ. Hattie is survived by her four daughters; June Potter of Mesa, AZ, Patsy (Henry) Orndorff of Queen Creek, AZ, Donna (Frank) Ritchie of Mesa, AZ, and Janet (Rob) Sampson of Mesa, AZ, her one son; Doug (Kathy) Rebert of Dayton NV, and close family friend; Nita Spice, of Mesa, AZ. Hattie was also a grandma to 11 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren. Hattie's family would like to thank the staff at Pennington Gardens, 977 S. Pennington Dr. in Chandler, AZ 85224, for their great care and kindness and for the compassion she received from Hospice Family Care, 13639 E. Ray Rd. in Gilbert, AZ 85296. Hattie's services are private and will be held on June 3, 2012 at Resthaven Park Mortuary in Phoenix, AZ. In lieu of flowers, the family would like any donations be made to to the facilities mentioned above or charity of choice.
