

on October 29, 1933 in Wharton, Texas to the late
Johnny Pendleton and Alberta McNeal. Jimmie
was a proud graduate of Pecos High School. In her
youth, she joined the Church of Christ in Pecos,
TX, and later, after marrying Charles Lamar
Hale, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona.
Upon her relocation, Jimmie transferred her
church membership to Roeser Road Church of Christ, later joining Southside
Church of Christ. In later years, she faithfully belonged to Tonto Street
Church of Christ until her passing.
Jimmie, a cherished daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother,
great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, left a
profound legacy. She is survived by ten children: Beverly Hale-Colbert
(Godoy), Linda Hale-Hasan, Charles Ray Hale, Leonard Hale, Alan Hale,
Connie Jackson, Catrina Pendleton-Clark (David), all residing in Phoenix,
AZ. Additionally, she adopted three more children: Courtney Williams
(AZ), Dray Pendleton (TX), and Prince Tarlue-Pendleton (TN).
Jimmie has twenty grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and two
great great grandchildren.
Jimmie held various roles throughout her lifetime, marking milestones such
as being the first black cashier at the Pecos bus station. Her dedication
extended to youth counseling at the Arizona Adobe Mountain facility and
later contributing her skills to Motorola Corporation. Upon retirement, her
compassion led her to become a foster parent.
Jimmie is preceded in death by both of her parents, Johnnie Pendleton and
Alberta McNeal, along with all her siblings: two sisters, Virlee Terry and
Audry Duke, and two brothers, Robert (RL) Pendleton and Robert (Suggie)
McNeil.
In addition to her immediate family, she leaves behind a legacy of
cherished memories and touched lives. Her impact extended beyond her
siblings to friends and loved ones who will forever hold her in their hearts.
As we reflect on her life, we celebrate the enduring connections and the
indelible mark she left on those who were fortunate to share in her journey.
Amidst the sorrow, may the memories of her kindness and warmth serve as
a comforting reminder of the love she shared with those around her.
