I loved this girl. I called her “Joy to the world “ all the time. She was funny. I shared with her an interest in rifles and shooting too. She’d come over to help at the Oktoberfest gatherings my husband and I had  at our house in late September or early October; she jumped right in to help. Although I haven’t seen her for years,  I’m sad that she’s gone and at such a young age. My condolences to the family and close friends .

My sincere condolences to the family. Joy was just that a “Joy.” It was a pleasure to work with her over the years. She will certainly be missed. 

I am still in shock. Your picture pops up on our screen saver from the camping trips in Flagstaff. Wish you camped more often with us instead of working so hard. You are missed my friend. Now you are among the stars instead of gazing up at them.

What a hidden gem you were. Funny, kind, helpful, insightful, patient, knowledgeable, and so much more. How lucky I was to have gotten to know you. So many fun times in the midst of our work craziness. You were my rock when it came to anything tech-related. No matter what it was, you either knew how to help me or knew the right person who could! I loved our break and lunch times spent working on jigsaw puzzles in the breakroom. We learned so much about each other as we puzzled away....so many fun stories shared about our lives. You will be missed, but certainly not forgotten. You have a special place in my heart.

I only worked with Joy for a short time as I was a new hire with the county on Joy's team.  She was always so nice and happy to help me navigate the vast complexities of the new position. I  greatly appreciated all her knowledge and her teamwork.  She will certainly be missed.

Joy, I will always remember many of the matches we shot together in...from driving too slowly from I-5 to PeEll and watching a little car pass my son and I, with two ladies singing with the tunes at high volume. When we got to PeEll you and Sherri were still singing!!! That and many matches at Raton, Tuscon, and so many other ranges. Your silhouette family is diminished with your passing. I still can’t believe you’re gone.  I’ve gone to reach out to you about a work issue since you left and forget I can’t anymore.  Old habits are hard to break.  I’m definitely not answering the “unknown” phone calls anymore because I know it won’t be you. Thank you for all of your help, knowledge and friendship over our years at Maricopa County.  I will miss our venting conversations and “can you believe” conversations where we ended up laughing  and shaking our heads because of the ridiculousness of it all!  Rest In Peace my friend.  Until we meet again…..

My Aunt Joy always took me on adventures with her. Lots of memories and many laughs. I always looked forward to our trips together. Love and miss you Aunt Joy.
