Naomi Yvette Reed

Naomi Y. Reed was born May 10, 1972, at RAF Lakenheath USAF base in England to Lewis T. Reed and Melda D. Reed. She passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022, in Phoenix, Arizona. After the family relocated to Alamogordo, New Mexico, Naomi completed high school and attended New Mexico State University where she graduated with a major in Accounting and minor in Information Technology. In her youth, she was a member of the New Zion Baptist Church. Later she joined Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church under the late Bishop Alexis Thomas. She serviced on the security ministry until her health started to decline. Naomi lived life to the fullest and traveled the world. She never met a stranger and always had an encouraging word or welcoming smile.

Naomi was preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Melda. She leaves to cherish her loving memory sister Nanette D.  Wimbrow (Dean); aunts Alice Summers and Joyette Linton-Thomas; uncle Charles A. Linton; along with a host of other relatives and friends across the world.

Naomi and her mother Melda’s favorite scripture is found in the 4th Chapter of Philippians and reads:

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.
