Pete Baca Garcia

Our loving Father, Pete B Garcia Sr. went home to be with the Lord the morning of February 15th, 2017. He leaves behind the wife of his youth of 72 years Lillian; four sons, Joseph Peter, Daniel Edward, Peter Jr., and Patrick Peter Garcia; their wives, in order; Alice, Ruth, Eleanor and Betty; Nine (9) grandchildren and six (6) great grandchildren, and his 98 year old sister Dora Estrada.

Our father was dedicated to family and country. He was a Decorated WWII Veteran fighting in the South Pacific theater. He loved watermelon, jalapeños, Chinese food and life but none of them more than mom, she and family was his world! He was a man of conviction and strong belief. He stated " You have to believe and have faith. Faith and believe in God, that's ALL you need!" Our pop will be sorely missed!

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 27, 2017 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1800 E. Libra Dr., Tempe, AZ 85282: viewing at 10:00am funeral mass at 11:00am. Committal service will follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85034 at 1:00pm with military honors. On behalf of Pete's family, we thank you for being a part of our loved one’s life and for keeping his memory alive through your fond remembrance of him.
