

Ramon Torrez, who was known by Junior was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, Great grandfather and friend. He was born in a small mining town in New Mexico called Mogollon on June 2, 1938, and went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2022, just 6 weeks after his sweetheart's passing. He is survived by his sister Lucy Tarango, his 2 children Lisa Torrez and Jimmy Torrez, Son in law Michael Mazzella, his 4 grandchildren, Nicole Espinoza, grandson-in-law Robert Espinoza, Jimmy Torrez, granddaughter-in-law Cindy Torrez, Leandra Torrez, Christina Torrez, 14 great-grandchildren, Victoria Espinoza, Robert Espinoza, Veronica Espinoza, Vanessa Espinoza, Viviana Espinoza, Yvette Parra, Adelina Torrez, Jubilee Torrez, Isaiah Torrez, Joseph Valencia, Pearl Flores, Evelyn Flores, Virginia Torrez, and Corina Garcia. As a child, he was diagnosed with polio and couldn’t walk for 4 years but he overcame it and went on to be a carpenter and worked for the union for 25 years. He always had a smile on his face. Jr. loved the outdoors and camping. He loved to reminisce and tell stories of the famous people he met in California as well as telling stories of his lineage. Family meant everything to him. After retirement, his main focus was his grandchildren. Wherever they were he was. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. Some of his favorite things were visiting family, old westerns, and root beer floats. He was wonderful and everyone’s favorite. He will be sorely missed but always remembered and greatly loved.
