

Ruby Gladys Louise Kelly was born March 3, 1935 in Teague, Texas and was the oldest daughter of Hazel Sr. and Ruby Faye Huckaby. Louise was raised in Coolidge, Texas where she also attended school. She accepted Christ and was Baptized at an early age.
Louise and A.V. Bailey Sr. united in Holy Matrimony in 1951 in Arizona and from this union seven children were born.
Louise faithfully attended New Hope Missionary Baptist church in Phoenix, AZ under the leadership of the late Reverend Cecil Murphy. Louise also attended Second National Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Willie Kelly, where she served on the Usher Board.
In the late 70’s she married Willie Kelly, who preceded her in death.
In 2001 she joined the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Alexis A. Thomas, where she remained a member until the Lord called her home.
Louise was a loving, caring and giving mother. She loved her children very much and worked hard to take care of them. She was a nurse’s aide at Shelton Arms and Tanner Manor Nursing homes. She also worked for O.I.C, and she was a laborer for McGraw Edison for many years. She showed her children a strong work ethic and one of her life lessons to her children was to go to school, get an education, get a job, and work for anything you wanted in life. She was a devoted daughter,grandmother, and sister who loved her family.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel Sr. and Faye Huckaby; brothers, Odell Huckaby Sr., Joe Louis Huckaby, and Hazel Huckaby Jr.; sister Warnell Brown; and two grandsons Craig V. Bailey and Derrek Wheaton.
Louise passed away from this life on Wednesday, February 10, 2016. She leaves to cherish her memory five sons: A.V. Bailey Jr. (daughter-in-law Gloria Bailey), Donnie Bailey, Tommie Bailey Sr. (Nancy), Dud Bailey, Demond Bailey Sr. (daughter-in-law Accai Bailey), all of Phoenix, AZ; two daughters: Doris Bailey (Robert), and Janice Scott (Veryl) of Phoenix, AZ; five brothers: Lawrence Huckaby Sr., Billy Joe Huckaby, Michael Huckaby Sr., James Huckaby Sr., Jimmy Huckaby Sr.; four sisters: Sarah Coleman, Betty Cochran, Ruby Faye Huckaby and Glenda Huckaby all of Phoenix, AZ; twenty five grandchildren, forty five great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; two special sister-in-law's: Either Huckaby and Doris Huckaby-Dawson of Phoenix, AZ; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
