Ruth Okamoto 81, passed away on September 19 in Phoenix to go home to be with her family. Ruth was survived by her 3 children, Robert, Wendy and Richard, 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Ruth was born June 22, 1942, in Milwaukee Wisconsin. She later moved to Atlanta Georgia to start a family with her husband before moving to Tempe Arizona where she raised her family and became a part of the community around her. She was very involved and active in church. She enjoyed participating in many activities with different kids’ programs, the adult choir and the Living Christmas Tree. She had a long tenure as an Administrative Clerk for Medtronic – where she retired from. She loved to go visit the ocean, take drives through the mountains, enjoyed hiking and climbing, fishing and game nights with her kids in their trailer. She loved her family. Enjoying get togethers at her house, BBQs, swimming, birthdays and holiday time, were some of the memories she created for her family and friends. She was always thinking and doing for others. She will be missed.
