Shirley Jean Davies, 82, passed away on September 6, 2016. Shirley was a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and friends with many. Shirley grew up in San Bernardino, California. She moved to Las Vegas in 1961 with her husband, Gaylan, where she helped support his business, Gene's Distributing, and she raised her family. She was an adult leader in Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Rainbow Girls. She cheered for countless Little league and basketball games. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, and she served as Worthy Matron for Southgate Chapter order of Eastern Star, and was appointed to hold a state office for the Nevada Grand Chapter. In 1987 she moved to Phoenix, Arizona. She remained active in Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron for Chandler Chapter. Services will be held on Monday, September 19, at 10:00 a.m. at Resthaven/ Carr Tenney Mortuary, 4310 E. Southern Ave
